CBT West Malling
LMRT Motorcycle Training is one of the leading providers of the mandatory CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) course for licenced motorcycle riders who wish to ride alone on the streets and roads of the United Kingdom. National law requires motorcycle riders to earn a CBT certificate every two years by taking an authorised CBT course.

You don’t need any previous experience riding a motorcycle to enroll in this CBT course. Instead, you only need a valid UK or European Licence to be eligible to take our authorised CBT course in West Malling.
We customise our CBT course to accommodate the experience level of each student. Here is a general overview of the five stages of our CBT course:
The Objective of the Course – We’ll first describe the lesson plan of the course and the knowledge you will get from it. The next thing we’ll have you do is take an eyesight test to determine if you can see the road well enough. You should be fine with this part if you can read car plate numbers from 20 metres away.
Dashboard Controls – We’ll describe the different dashboard controls on a motorcycle and what they do for you as a motorcycle rider.
Off-Road Evaluation – We’ll evaluate your ability to ride a motorcycle on our off-road obstacle course.
Road Safety Lessons – A classroom session about motorcycle and road safety will be required. We want to ensure you understand all the potential dangers for motorcyclists on the open road before you start riding on it.
On-Road Motorcycle Riding – Now, we’ll evaluate your ability to safely ride your motorcycle on roads with traffic.
Get Your Certificate!
LMRT Motorcycle Training will award you an official and legally authorised CBT Certificate after successfully finishing the course. The certificate is good for two years before you’ll need to renew it again.
