LMRT Motorcycle Training is a professional training facility authorised to teach the official CBT course to students wishing to ride their motorcycles without supervision in West Kingsdown. UK law requires every licensed motorcyclist to complete the CBT course every two years. Therefore, your level of experience doesn’t matter when applying to take our CBT course.
Here are the five stages of our all-inclusive CBT course in West Kingsdown:
Course Introduction – You will begin the CBT course by reviewing all the different elements and objectives of the course. You will also have to take an eyesight examination to determine if you can see well enough to read numbers from a 20-metre distance.
Motorcycle Controls – The instructor will begin the training by reviewing all the motorcycle controls and what they do. You must learn these controls if you don’t know them already.
Off-Road Riding – Take an off-road ride on our obstacle course. The instructor will want to see that you can navigate the obstacle course on your motorcycle without any issues.
Road Safety – You’ll attend a classroom lesson on road safety and how to avoid typical road dangers. Understanding how UK roads work is vital so you can navigate them safely.
On-Road Riding – The last stage is riding your motorcycle on the open road with traffic around you. If you can prove to the instructor that you’re a safe and careful motorcycle rider, you’ll pass the CBT course.
Earn Your Certificate of Completion
Successfully completing the on-road riding evaluation will earn you a Certificate of Completion. You have two years before you must return and retake the CBT course to renew the certificate.
