CBT Greenwich – Ride with Confidence in the Capital

For learners in Greenwich, LMRT’s CBT Greenwich course offers a clear path to safe, legal riding. A Compulsory Basic Training course is required by law, but it isn’t a test. Instead, it’s a day of structured training designed to prepare you for real-world riding.
Your day will start with an eyesight check and an introduction to the motorcycle’s controls. Once you’re comfortable, you’ll move into an off-road area to practise essential manoeuvres such as clutch control, braking, and figure-of-eight turns.
Next, you’ll attend a classroom session on road safety, covering the Highway Code, hazard spotting, and defensive riding. The course concludes with a supervised on-road ride through Greenwich, where you’ll apply your new skills in live traffic.
On completion, you’ll receive your CBT Certificate (DL196), valid for two years, allowing you to ride legally with L plates.
