CBT Farningham – Build Skills and Confidence
For new riders in Farningham, LMRT offers a comprehensive CBT Farningham course, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to ride legally on UK roads. Compulsory Basic Training is essential for anyone who wants to ride a scooter or motorcycle—it’s not an exam, but a training day designed to make you safe and competent before you set off on your own.
The course is broken into five stages. First, there’s an introduction and vision check, followed by a detailed explanation of your bike’s controls. Once you’re comfortable, you’ll move on to an off-road training area, where you’ll practice manoeuvres and get used to handling the bike without traffic distractions.
Next, we deliver an important classroom session on road safety, covering the Highway Code, defensive riding, and hazard awareness. Finally, you’ll take to the roads under instructor supervision, riding through real traffic conditions to demonstrate your competence.
By the end of the training, you’ll earn a CBT Certificate, valid for two years. This enables you to ride on the road with L plates, whether on a scooter or motorcycle, and prepares you for further licence training if you want to progress.
