Our Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) course is a legal requirement for anyone wanting to ride on UK roads unsupervised. It can be undertaken by both novice and more experienced riders, as the training is adapted to whatever skill level you are at.
This training is a continuous assessment with no testing that requires students to complete five separate elements to a satisfactory level. This is demonstrated by your understanding of road use and your control of the motorcycle or scooter. Novices can opt to train with either vehicle, however, if you are hesitant, you may opt to start with a scooter that is less powerful, smaller, and more cost-efficient.
