At London Motorcycle Training (LMTR), we offer comprehensive Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) that is a legal requirement for anyone wanting to ride a motorcycle or scooter on UK roads.
Riding a motorcycle or scooter offers several key benefits over operating a car. It is far less expensive, you can get around more easily, and delivers a more liberating experience while on the road. However, you need to fully understand how best to operate your vehicle, care for it, and use it to safely navigate roads.
This is where our CBT training courses come in. our training takes students through the five critical elements needed to ensure they become competent and safe riders. Our courses are tailored to the unique circumstance of each student. No matter your level of experience as a rider, we will adapt the training to your skill level to ensure full competency by the end of the course.
Our DVSA-accredited instructors do not test students but provide a continuous assessment as they take you through each of the five separate elements. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion that will permit you to legally ride your choice of motorcycle or scooter.
We understand that not everyone may want to start riding a motorcycle straight away. If you are a bit hesitant, we recommend first taking up our scooter riding course. Scooters are an ideal choice for anyone looking for a less powerful but more affordable vehicle than a motorcycle. However, even novices that have never even ridden a scooter can immediately undertake motorcycle training.
