What Your CBT Day Looks Like

Your Compulsory Basic Training is a full structured day, broken into clear stages that take you from the basics right through to riding on the road.

The day begins in the classroom, where you will cover essential theory, safety awareness, and the Highway Code as it applies to motorcyclists and scooter riders. From there, you move to our off-road training area to build your confidence with the machine at low speed, practising balance, control, and basic manoeuvres before heading out onto the road.

The final stage involves supervised on-road riding with your instructor, putting everything you have practised into real conditions. The full structure is set by the DVSA and applies to every learner, regardless of where they have booked from.

Once you have completed your CBT, you are legally entitled to ride a motorcycle or scooter up to 125cc on public roads with L-plates, without the need for a full licence.
