CBT Chelsfield
LMRT Motorcycle Training is a reputable and authorized CBT instruction facility in Chelsfield. The UK government requires licenced motorcycle riders to complete the CBT course every two years to ride on streets and roads unsupervised.
The CBT course reviews everything you need to know about motorcycle control functions, motorcycle operation safety, and road safety laws. So whether you’re an experienced or amateur motorcycle rider, you can still benefit from the lessons of our CBT course.
Our CBT course is open to riders of all experience levels. The only course eligibility requirement is to possess a valid UK license, or a European license with an accompanying D91 form.
The CBT course will include the following five elements:
1) Course Overview
LMRT Motorcycle Training instructors will explain the course outline and what you can expect to get out of the course. In addition, a standard eyesight test will be administered to ensure you can read numbers from 20 metres away.
2) Motorcycle Control Education
Our instructors will review a standard motorcycle’s dashboard controls and operational functions. We want to ensure you know how to use the controls before riding the motorcycle alone.
3) Off-Road Riding
You’ll proceed to take an off-road riding evaluation on our obstacle course.
4) Road Safety
Our instructors will explain how to stay safe on the road with your motorcycle. The current UK road traffic laws will be explained too.
5) On-Road Riding
The last step is to complete the on-road riding evaluation on a public road.
Receive Your Certificate of Completion
After the CBT course, we’ll issue you an official Certificate of Completion. You can use the certificate to ride unsupervised on roads and streets for two years. Then you’ll be required to retake the course to renew the certificate for another two years.
